info@greatlakesoptometry.comWelcome to Great Lakes Optometry,
Your Sault Ste. Marie, MI Optometrist!
I received my Doctorate of Optometry from Ferris State University in 2017 and completed three externships at Cherry Health in Grand Rapids, MI, Wyoming VA Health Care Center in Wyoming, MI, and Eglin Air Force Base in Florida. I have been practicing optometry in the Upper Peninsula since 2017. I am trained in refractive procedures as well as diagnosis and management of eye diseases such as glaucoma, macular degeneration, and cataracts. I can also evaluate and fit specialty contact lenses. I had 10 years of optical experience as an optician before becoming a licensed optometrist. I take pride in working with people to achieve the best possible vision and ocular health.
I grew up in Luther, MI and enjoy hobbies such as bicycling, hiking, skiing, and spending time with my wife and daughter. My wife, Stephanie, and I moved to Sault Sainte Marie in 2017. Stephanie is a pharmacist that practices primarily in Newberry, MI.
I look forward to meeting you and helping you out!

Great caring doctors, and the last lady who helped me pick out my frames was like my personal stylist. (Kinda hard too what you look like in a new frame if your vision is blurry, haha.)
I have a new appointment coming up and just found out that you can schedule an appointment online. That is fantastic since my schedule varies on a weeks notice.

CONTACT LENS FITTINGS/SPECIALTY LENSES
There are various reasons why you may want to wear contact lenses over traditional eyewear. Hassle-free vision correction, a glasses-free look, or the ability to wear non-prescription goggles and sunglasses may be the reason for you.

Our advanced optical imaging instruments allow us to provide our patients with the most accurate eye exams and tests. Contact us today to schedule an appointment.
DIABETIC EYE EXAMINATIONS
When you have diabetes, your eyes are at risk of developing diabetic retinopathy and other kinds of damage. If these problems are left untreated, they can raise your risk of complete or partial vision loss.
